Retaining Restrictions
“The restrictions that have been established in the Republic of Tatarstan remain in place for the coming period. There will be no relief yet," Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva said today at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The relaxations introduced during the New Year holidays will cease to apply after the holidays. “Restrictions related to the introduction of QR codes on the territory of Tatarstan will remain. The same restrictions apply in many regions of the Russian Federation,” she said.
Pandemic 2021
Marina Patyashina, HEAD of the Department of Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Tatarstan, called the outgoing 2021 the most difficult year of the pandemic.
The proportion of asymptomatic forms among infected residents of the Republic of Tatarstan decreased by almost 4 times. In 2020, it was 20.5%, in the current - 5.3%. The proportion of severe forms of the course of the disease increased by 22%. Last year it was 3.2%, this year - 3.9%. The incidence among children this year has increased almost 3 times. According to Patyashina, children now carry the CORONAVIRUS in a more pronounced form. Among the ways of transmission of infection, intrafamilial infections prevailed, which accounted for 76%.
“We are facing a record number of cases this year. This was due to the circulation of a new, Indian, Delta strain, which is many times more contagious. If in 2020 we had 13,284 cases of the disease, then in 2021 there are already 29,418. At the end of the year, we see that 88% of patients already have the Indian Delta strain,” said Patyashina.
