On February 11, US President Joe Biden urged Americans to leave Ukraine immediately. According to him, the situation in this country "could get out of control very quickly." A warning urging people not to visit Ukraine “due to the increased threat of Russian military action and COVID-19” was issued by the State Department.

Following the United States, the authorities of several other states recommended that their residents refrain from traveling to Ukraine.

Visiting Ukraine is not recommended for British citizens , "as long as it can still be done commercially," according to the website of the Foreign Office. The reason is "the growing threat from RUSSIA."

The country's ambassador to Kiev, Yennes de Mol, advised citizens of the Netherlands to leave Ukraine. He noted that a centralized evacuation is not planned. On the website of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the red level of travel danger has been assigned to a 10-kilometer zone near the border with Belarus and Russia, as well as to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

An appeal to citizens to "immediately leave" Ukraine is posted on the website of the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs . The agency refers to the "unpredictable security situation." Similarly, the Norwegian authorities justified their recommendation to leave Ukraine.
