covid -19 vaccines from the United Statesis under control

The US authorities offered the Chinese government to organize the supply of modern mRNA vaccines needed to combat the spread of the CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19, but were refused. This is reported by BLOOMBERG, citing its sources. The interlocutors of the agency said that, taking into account the special “political sensitivity” of the issue, it was proposed to arrange the supply of vaccines through intermediaries.

According to Bloomberg, proposals for the supply of vaccines were made by senior US diplomats, including during a December visit to CHINA by US Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Kritenbrink and Laura Rosenberger, who oversees China relations at the US National Security Council. In recent weeks, the American authorities, alarmed by the increase in the number of infections in China and the emergence of new strains of the virus, have stepped up their efforts, but each time they were refused. Contacts continue, but Chinese officials say they have the situation under control and do not need help, the agency's interlocutors said.

A representative of the Chinese Embassy in Washington said that the vaccines developed in China are highly effective, and their production not only provides for the country's domestic needs, but also creates opportunities for EXPORT.

Speaking of the reluctance of the Chinese authorities to agree to receive vaccines from the United States, Bloomberg notes that Beijing has always been reluctant to accept outside help during crises, and in the current conditions, consent will demonstrate China's inability to independently develop an effective mRNA vaccine.

“Even in the midst of a catastrophic COVID-19 outbreak, Beijing continues to display vaccine nationalism — a decision that will undoubtedly lead to unnecessary deaths,” said Jude Blanchett, chair of the Department of Sinology at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

On January 6, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said that the situation with COVID-19 in China is currently under control. At the same time, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention said that the likelihood of a large-scale outbreak in China of an epidemic caused by XBB, a subvariant of the omicron strain of COVID-19, is assessed as low in the short term, Xinhua news agency reported.
