On the eve of Biden announced that Brink, who now holds the post of ambassador to Slovakia, will become the new American ambassador to Ukraine. Brink was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Slovakia in July 2019. Prior to that, she worked at various times in the National Security Council, in the US embassies in Serbia, Uzbekistan and Georgia.
