Agrarians of Bashkiria received insurance payments for the loss of the crop for ₽83 million

Agrarians of Bashkiria received insurance payments for the death of the crop insured in 2021 in the amount of 83 million rubles, of which 4.8 million rubles were transferred from January to April 2022. In total, 21 payments were made under contracts last year, President of the National Union of Agricultural Insurers Korney Bizhdov told RBC Ufa. The amount of crop insurance payments achieved last year was the highest for the region in five years.

“The reason was the large-scale drought that was noted in the region last summer. The main amount of payments was transferred before the New Year, which indicates the efficiency of the work of agricultural insurers in the republic. In total, in 2021, 30 farms concluded crop insurance contracts in the republic, insuring 124,000 hectares of crops. Losses were declared on an area of ​​89,000 hectares,” Bizhdov said.

According to the Union of Agricultural Insurers, the maximum amount of payment for the loss of a crop in 2021 in Bashkiria for one enterprise was 15.5 million rubles, the funds were transferred for the loss of pea products. The amount of payment per farm depended on the insured area, crops and the terms of the contract.

In general, in 2021, agricultural insurers reimbursed Russian agricultural producers for insured damage from loss of production in the amount of 5.7 billion rubles. In January-April 2022, the amount of payments to the country's farmers under insurance contracts with state support amounted to 907 million rubles, agricultural producers in 22 regions received funds. Most of the payments fell on cases of crop loss - 700 million rubles, 207 million rubles were received by companies under insurance contracts for farm animals. The largest part of the insurance compensation was received by agricultural producers of the Krasnodar Territory (206 million rubles), Belgorod (205 million rubles) and Samara (164 million) regions.

As RBC Ufa reported, in Bashkiria in 2021 the amount of state support for agricultural insurance reached 118.6 million rubles. This is 31.2 million rubles, or 35.7%, more than the amount of subsidies in 2020. Companies and entrepreneurs can receive up to 50% reimbursement of the premium they paid when insuring crops and livestock.
